The Miramar Landfill located in San Diego, Calif., produces methane gas which is converted into energy to power the microgrid aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif. In recognition of October being National Energy Action Month, MCAS Miramar promoted energy conservation and informed station residents of what they can do to help.
