U.S. Marines from multiple units participated in a Marine Corps Marksmanship Competition match at Edson Range on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Nov. 1-11, 2020. The competition at Pendleton is the first in a series scheduled for Marine bases around the world as part of the 2021 Competition-In-Arms Program, which will end with a championship match on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. Marine Corps Installations-West held this year’s Western Division matches at the Camp Horno Range aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The Western Division Matches are part of a Marine Corps wide competition designed for self-improvement in marksmanship in order to improve Marines’ combat readiness.
