2018 Semper Ride Expo and Poker Run at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 5, 2018. The expo consisted of a closed course loop around MCB Camp Pendleton which had pre-designated stations where the riders chose a card for the best poker hand. The event culminated with a motocross demonstration and free prize giveaways. Semper Ride is a partnership between Headquarters Marine Corps Safety Division and Marine Corps Community Services that brings awareness to motorcycling the right way through action-packed riding events, as well as the expo that is open to all active and retired service members, their families and civilian employees. The Semper Ride Motorcycle Expo will consist of interactive exercises, giveaways, safety training and a poker run. The event will be at the 22-area parade deck from 6:30 a.m. till 1 p.m., at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 5, 2018. On October 9th 2017, motorcycle riders should be prepared to physically show their Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) approved Basic Rider Course (BRC) credentials to Camp Pendleton gate sentries. All motorcycle riders will be checked as they enter the base. A delay in presentation of the credentials to the sentry will effect traffic, so riders are encouraged to have their BRC card readily available along with photo I.D. Effective immediately, the Camp Pendleton Provost Marshal's Office will cite and issue a 30-day riding suspension for the installation to riders in violation of the uniform order while operating a motorcycle on Camp Pendleton. Marine Corps Order P1020.34G and MCB-CAMPENO 1020.1A both cover uniform regulations while operating a motorcycle.

The Motorcycle Mentorship Program (MMP) is a series of courses that military motorcycle riders are required to take to ride their bikes on and off base. The course is mandatory for both new and veteran motorcyclists. Camp Pendleton hosted a demonstration of the Commandant of the Marine Corps Safety Division’s proposed Rider Essential Skills Training (REST) course here, Feb. 10. Marine Corps officials are in the process of revamping the course to further reduce motorcycle accidents in the Marine Corps.
