PSA: Protect Your Grape
There has been a significant rise in head injuries in children and adults riding bikes or skateboarding on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. As the summer season approaches, base officials are reminding parents of the importance of wearing a helmet and being aware of your surroundings while riding bikes, skateboarding or rollerskating. Don’t be denied: Bicyclists need new I.D. to access base
As of October 1st, 2018, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton will no longer accept a drivers license for bicyclists looking to access the base. To obtain base access cyclists must go to the Visitor’s Center located next to the MCB Camp Pendleton Main Gate with an identification card to be entered into the Defense Biometric Identification System. Once you have been entered into the new identification system, you will receive an access card that is valid for one year.
