Marine Corps Installations West

Field Medical Training Battalion – West on Camp Pendleton, Calif. will be reintegrating female Sailors into the Field Medical Service Technician’s program of instruction. Starting in February 5, 2018, all students, regardless of gender, have to meet the requirements set forth in the course, which includes passing five written exams, a Navy physical fitness assessment, participate in a Marine Corps physical fitness test and combat fitness test, march under an assault load, complete conditioning hikes of two, four, six and eight miles and participate in various confidence courses, ensuring that all Sailors are fully prepared to meet the requirements of the Fleet Marine Force.
