Interview with retired Gunnery Sgt. Damaso Sutis, Iwo Jima Veteran

Retired Gunnery Sgt. Damaso Sutis recounts his experience during the Battle of Iwo Jima. Mr. Sutis was one of the Iwo Jima Veterans who visited Camp Pendleton during the 71st commemoration of the Battle of Iwo Jima. The commemoration consists of a tour of Camp Pendleton, tour of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, a memorial service and a reenactment of the historical flag raising over a three day period at various sites throughout Marine Corps Installations- West. More than 50 veterans and their family members attended the tour and commemoration ceremony.
