Public private venture partners the Department of Defense with private companies in order to provide quality military family housing faster. Camp Pendleton has six housing districts built by Lincoln Military Housing and Hunt Military Communities. This product was created to provide amplifying and clarifying information regarding Public Private Venture to counter misinformation and minimize confusion among current and future base housing residents. The video was distributed to installation websites, social media, and local AFN stations.

Eagle Eyes is a program designed to educate the community on how to look for and report suspicious activity to local authorities on base. When suspicious activity is seen, the individual should dial the hotline or visit the Eagle Eyes website at www.USMCEagleEyes.org, visit their office and provide any information they have about the activity and the suspect. Over 222,000 burglaries have been committed in California in 2000 during many of these burglars gained access through unlocked doors and windows with no force used. Residents residing in Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton's housing districts will now be allowing residents to own a portable air - conditioner. A portable air - conditioner is a small, independent device that may be easily transported inside a home to remove heat and moisture from an enclosed room to improve the comfort of its occupants. Residents wanting to own a portable air - conditioner must have the device stated and documented in their lease agreement. Residents can direct all questions to their local housing office. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton has two scheduled power outages this weekend on January 27 and 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day to address preventative maintenance on a utility substation that will improve the stability of the installation's electrical grid. The outage scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27 will impact the Central Region of the installation, including Areas 11-17, as well as 22, 23, 24, 26, and 27. Additionally, this outage will impact O'Neil Heights and Serra Mesa housing. The outage scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 28 will impact both Central and Southern Regions of the installation including Areas 20/21, the Main Exchange, Pacific Views Event Center, the Golf Course as well as Areas 18, 22-26, 32 and 33. Only Santa Margarita housing should be impacted by the outage on Sunday. Further questions can be directed to Area Facilities Managers or respective Housing District Offices.
