A Gold Star Mother is a mother who has lost her son or daughter in the line of duty while in the U.S. Armed Forces. Gold Star Mother’s day is an American holiday observed on the last Sunday of September. U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Cory Paskvan, training chief, 2nd Recon Battalion, and Christopher May, founder, Brother Recon, reflect on what recon means to them. This year marks the 10th annual Recon Challenge. Come out and observe recon Marines from around the Marine Corps push themselves physically and mentally through the most challenging obstacles on May 17th, 2018. U.S. Marines and family members kick off the Tails and Trails 4k walk, at Lake O’Neill aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif, Jan. 27, 2018.This is Camp Pendleton’s 3rd year hosting the dog walk, intended to promote fitness, healthy lifestyles and pet responsibility.
