The solar farm was officially opened when Col. Craig Clemans, commanding officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., cut the ribbon on the project Oct. 22. The new solar project is expected to save the base $26,000,000 over the 22-year life of the contract with ESG.
