Cognitive Fitness: new Pendleton course teaches Marines mental resilience
U.S. Marines with Marine Air Support Squadron 3, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, attend a Cognitive Fitness class on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 25, 2020. The Cognitive Fitness course is a pilot program developed by SARP counselors based off of their Cognitive Behavioral Therapy class designed to teach Marines and their leaders how thoughts, feelings and actions are connected. Marine Corps Installations West has implemented Health Protection Condition Bravo across all of its installations to maintain the readiness and health of base personnel and their families. Those experiencing flu-like symptoms are being asked to inform dispatchers, first responders and medical personnel so they can take the necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
