More than 3,400 competitors from 47 states and 32 countries participate in the 2018 Ironman 70.3 Oceanside Triathlon on Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 7, 2018. As Marines across the country prepare to deploy, Camp Pendleton becomes indispensable as a training location in preparation for the harsh environment of the Middle East.
