U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Installations West, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, fold and retire the colors during the 79th annual Evening Colors Ceremony at the Santa Margarita Ranch House on Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 23, 2021. The ceremony was held to commemorate the official dedication of Camp Pendleton, which took place in September 1942. The base was named after Maj. Gen. Joseph H. San Diego’s Rock radio station, 105.3, hosted a live performance by the band Bush, along with several stand-up comedians aboard Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton. The performers wanted to show their support to all military members during the holiday season.

Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, hosted a spiritual fitness fair on October 5, 2017 at Camp Pendleton’s Paige Fieldhouse. The event intended to enhance battalion character and build espirit de corps while showing Marines different perspectives and providing professional resources that aid in spiritual, emotional and mental health, and concluded with a concert featuring the Grammy award-winning band Switchfoot.
