Camp Pendleton Surf Club hosts a Camp Pendleton Surf Club surfing competition at San Onofre State Beach, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 4, 2024. San Onofre beach was recently put on a 48-hour warning status due to a shark sighting in the waters off shore. Camp Pendleton hosted an Ocean Therapy Seminar for Marines from Wounded Warrior Battalion-West at Del Mar beach here, Jan. 26, 2016. The ocean therapy sessions give the Marines a chance to learn how to surf while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of the ocean.
