FBI agents and U.S. Marine explosive ordnance disposal technicians learn to investigate large vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonation sites at Range 800 on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, as part of the Large Vehicle Bomb Post Blast Analysis course, Jan. 24-27, 2022. The course focused on collecting attack-related material such as device components, casualty information and explosive residue following a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack. On December 24th, 1950 U.S. Marines with the 1st Marine Division, U.N. forces, and thousands of North Korean refugees evacuated Korea out of the port of Hungnam. This Christmas, thousands of Marines will be celebrating Christmas while deployed around the globe. Representatives with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives held a demonstration for local San Diego County media outlets at Escondido P.D. Range 25855, Escondido, Calif., August 17, 2017. The demonstration helped civilians as well as Marines learn and understand the dangers and consequences of producing or possessing an unfinished receiver.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducted a training and evaluation session of National Odor Recognition Testing (NORT) to 30 local, state and federal explosive-detection canine teams on Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 6, 2017. Law Enforcement Marines, and their working dogs, also participated in the training aimed at improving the canine team’s ability to detect 10 fundamental explosive odors.
