Camp Pendleton Energy Conservation
In 2019, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton spent $24,619,798 on energy costs, taking away valuable funds from possible training opportunities. Spending less money on energy means more money to support the warfighter in sustaining their combat readiness. (U.S. Marine Corps video by LCpl. Angela Wilcox)

Getting to know RECP
The Resident Energy Conservation Program (RECP) is the result of Department of Defense (DoD) initiative that has been implemented in all Public-Private Venture (PPV) family housing units aboard all Marine Corps installations. The RECP supports the Marine Corps energy strategy by encouraging energy conservation and reducing electricity costs. This product was created to provide amplifying and clarifying information regarding the Resident Energy Conservation Program to counter miss information and minimize confusion among current and future base housing residents. The video was distributed to installation websites, social media, and local AFN stations. (U.S. Marine Corps video by LCpl Desiree King)

Resident Energy Conservation Program
The Resident Energy Conservation Program (RECP) is the result of Department of Defense (DoD) initiative that has been implemented in all Public-Private Venture (PPV) family housing units aboard all Marine Corps installations. The RECP supports the Marine Corps energy strategy by encouraging energy conservation and reducing electricity costs. The RECP program is fully implemented at Camp Pendleton. Residents within +/- 10% of the average usage for their type home will have no cost impact. Residents using less energy than the +/- 10% average will be rewarded with cash/credit. Residents using more energy than the +/- 10% average are billed for that usage in excess of the normal usage buffer zone. For questions about your utility bill, please call Yes Energy Management. For questions about your homes utility usage and other conversation questions please contact your Lincoln/Hunt district manager. For general housing questions or additional assistance contact the Base Housing office or check out this link http://www.pendleton.marines.mil/Family/Family-Housing/Resident-Energy-Conservation-Program/

New Tech Gives Camp Pendleton Energy Security
This video showcases the Camp Pendleton FractalGrid, which provides uninterrupted power to loads within a subset of the 52 Area boundary. Upon demand, FractalGrid units are able to island themselves from parent grids, including the utility grid, without any disruption to the facility or adjacent communications and civil infrastructure services, and subsequently grid connect when needed.
