Pendleton Marines, FBI train to investigate VBIED blasts
FBI agents and U.S. Marine explosive ordnance disposal technicians learn to investigate large vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonation sites at Range 800 on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, as part of the Large Vehicle Bomb Post Blast Analysis course, Jan. 24-27, 2022. The course focused on collecting attack-related material such as device components, casualty information and explosive residue following a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack. Through post-blast analysis, EOD Marines can provide intelligence sections with the information needed to assess how an explosive threat was manufactured. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
